ان نیم باز نرگسی آنکھوں سے پوچھئے
اس رات کس طرح سے گزارے گئے تھے ہم
دھوکے سے ہم سے پار کرائی گئی تھی رات
اک صبح کی بساط پہ مارے گئے تھے ہم
اس بار موت لانگھ کے جائیں گے شہر عشق
اس بار زندگی کے سہارے گئے تھے ہم

kis sadgi se hae pukare gae the hum
in nim-baz nargisi aankhon se puchhiye
us raat kis tarah se guzare gae the hum
dhoke se hum se par karai gai thi raat
ek subh ki bisat pe mare gae the hum
is bar maut langh ke jaenge shahr-e-ishq
