لب رنگیں سے اگر تو گہر افشاں ہوتا

لکھنؤ لعلوں کے معدن سے بدخشاں ہوتا

اے پری تو وہ پری ہے کہ تری دیکھ کے شکل

ہر فرشتہ کی تمنا ہے کہ انساں ہوتا

رہ گیا پردہ مرا ورنہ ترے جاتے ہی

نہ یہ دامن نظر آتا نہ گریباں ہوتا

آ نکلتا کبھی زاہد جو تری محفل میں

ہاتھ میں شیشۂ مے طاق پہ قرآں ہوتا

خیر گزری جو کھلے بالوں کو اس نے باندھا

ورنہ مجموعہ عناصر کا پریشاں ہوتا

مر گیا زلف کی میں پیچ اٹھا کر اے برقؔ

کیوں نہ افسانہ مرا خواب پریشاں ہوتا
