ایک عورت بہت اداس ملول

نیل گالوں پر

ہونٹ میں سوجن

بال بکھرے ہوئے پریشاں سے

اس کے شوہر نے آج مارا ہے

لوگ کہتے ہیں رات غائب تھی

دور نو کے لطیف گوشوں سے

نابلد وہ غریب شوہر ہے

بیویاں گھر سے رات کو باہر

رہ سکیں تو یہ عین عزت ہے

آج کے دور کی شرافت ہے

اس نئے دور کی نئی تہذیب

شوہر بے شعور کیا جانے

ek aurat bahut udas malul
nel galon par
honT mein sujan
baal bikhre hue pareshan se
us ke shauhar ne aaj mara hai
log kahte hain raat ghaeb thi

daur-e-nau ke latif goshon se
na-balad wo gharib shauhar hai
biwiya,n ghar se raat ko bahar
rah sakin to ye ain izzat hai
aaj ke daur ki sharafat hai
is nae daur ki nai tahzib
shauhar-e-be-shuur kya jaane
