میں اس سے پہلے کہ بکھروں ادھر ادھر ہو جاؤں

میں اس سے پہلے کہ بکھروں ادھر ادھر ہو جاؤں

مجھے سنبھال لے ممکن ہے در بدر ہو جاؤں

یہ آب و تاب جو مجھ میں ہے سب اسی سے ہے

اگر وہ چھوڑ دے مجھ کو تو میں کھنڈر ہو جاؤں

مری مدد سے کھجوروں کی فصل پکنے لگے

میں چاہتا ہوں کہ صحرا کی دوپہر ہو جاؤں

میں آس پاس کے موسم سے ہوں تر و تازہ

میں اپنے جھنڈ سے نکلوں تو بے ثمر ہو جاؤں

بڑی عجیب سی حدت ہے اس کی یادوں میں

اگر میں چھو لوں پسینے سے تر بہ تر ہو جاؤں

میں کچی مٹی کی صورت ہوں تیرے ہاتھوں میں

مجھے تو ڈھال دے ایسے کہ معتبر ہو جاؤں

بچی کھچی ہوئی سانسوں کے ساتھ پہنچانا

سنو ہواؤ اگر میں شکستہ پر ہو جاؤں

mujhe sambhaal le mumkin hai dar-ba-dar ho jaun

ye aab-o-tab jo mujh mein hai sab usi se hai
agar wo chhoD de mujh ko to main khanDar ho jaun

meri madad se khujuron ki fasl pakne lage
main chahta hun ki sahra ki dopahar ho jaun

main aas-pas ke mausam se hun tar-o-taza
main apne jhunD se niklun to be-samar ho jaun

baDi ajib si hiddat hai us ki yaadon mein
agar main chhu lun pasine se tar-ba-tar ho jaun

main kachchi miTTi ki surat hun tere hathon mein
mujhe tu Dhaal de aise ki mo'atabar ho jaun

bachi-khuchi hui sanson ke sath pahunchana
suno hawao agar main shikasta-par ho jaun
