سچ تو یہ ہے کہ اسے دھوپ نے گرمایا تھا
ہاں وہ پودا جو تری چھاؤں میں کمھلایا تھا
رات کس نے مری تنہائی کو مہکایا تھا
بوئے گل آئی تھی یا تیرا خیال آیا تھا
دیکھنے والے وہ منظر نہیں بھولے اب تک
میں کبھی آپ کی آنکھوں میں نظر آیا تھا
کتنے قصوں کو دیا جنم ترے اشکوں نے
میں بہت خوش تھا کہ دامن مرا کام آیا تھا
کچھ خیال آیا سرابوں میں بھٹکنے والے
کس کی آواز نے دریا پہ تجھے لایا تھا
اب تو بہتر ہے یہی کچھ بھی نہ یاد آئے نعیمؔ
موسم گل میں کسے کھویا تھا کیا پایا تھا

raat kis ne meri tanhai ko mahkaya tha
bu-e-gul aai thi ya tera KHayal aaya tha
dekhne wale wo manzar nahin bhule ab tak
main kabhi aap ki aankhon mein nazar aaya tha
kitne qisson ko diya janm tere ashkon ne
main bahut KHush tha ki daman mera kaam aaya tha
kuchh KHayal aaya sarabon mein bhaTakne wale
kis ki aawaz ne dariya pe tujhe laya tha
ab to behtar hai yahi kuchh bhi na yaad aae 'naim'
mausam-e-gul mein kise khoya tha kya paya tha
