شب فرقت قضا نہیں آتی

لاکھ کہتا ہوں آ نہیں آتی

چپ ہیں وہ سن کے شکوۂ اغیار

بات بھی تو بنا نہیں آتی

وہ تو وعدے پہ آ چکے اے موت

تو بھی آتی ہے یا نہیں آتی

کس مرض کی دوا ہیں آپ اگر

درد دل کی دوا نہیں آتی

شیشۂ دل ہے کس قدر نازک

ٹوٹنے کی صدا نہیں آتی

ہم ہیں آزادہ رو جہاں میں نسیمؔ

یاں ہوس کی ہوا نہیں آتی
