کسی آواز کے پیچھے گئے ہیں

کسی آواز کے پیچھے گئے ہیں
نہ جانے کس طرف بچے گئے ہیں
بہت کچھ ہم نے بدلا ہے اگرچہ
مقدر عرش پر لکھے گئے ہیں
تجارت گاہ دنیا کا نہ پوچھو
یہاں انسان تک بیچے گئے ہیں
گھنے اشجار بھی رستے میں آئے
مگر ہم ہیں کہ بس چلتے گئے ہیں
بسوئے آب پیاسے خواب لے کر
ہم اپنے سائے سے پہلے گئے ہیں
ہم اپنے گھر نہیں لے جا سکے کچھ
ہمیشہ راہ میں لوٹے گئے ہیں

na-jaane kis taraf bachche gae hain
bahut kuchh hum ne badla hai agarche
muqaddar arsh par likhe gae hain
tijarat-e-gah-e-duniya ka na puchho
yahan insan tak beche gae hain
ghane ashjar bhi raste mein aae
magar hum hain ki bas chalte gae hain
ba-su-e-ab pyase KHwab le kar
hum apne sae se pahle gae hain
hum apne ghar nahin le ja sake kuchh
hamesha rah mein luTe gae hain
