سوئے رات کو روتے روتے
نیر واسطی
سوئے رات کو روتے روتے
اٹھ بیٹھے پھر سوتے سوتے
کاش وہ زیب بالیں ہوتے
ہم چونک اٹھتے سوتے سوتے
ختم ہوا افسانۂ ہستی
ہنستے ہنستے روتے روتے
بیت چلی برسات بھی آخر
کاٹ دیں راتیں روتے روتے
تیری یاد میں او پردیسی
عمر گنوا دی روتے روتے
سوکھ گئیں آشاؤں کی کلیاں
فیض بہاراں ہوتے ہوتے
شور ہے ہر سو نیرؔ نیرؔ
ہو گئے چرچے ہوتے ہوتے
