یہ ازخود رفتگی بالکل نئی تھی

نور شمع نور

یہ ازخود رفتگی بالکل نئی تھی

کہ تفسیر حدیث دل نئی تھی

سرابوں کی سرشت نارسائی

تمنا کے لئے منزل نئی تھی

وہ پہلے بھی جنوں سے آشنا تھے

یہ گرمی خون میں شامل نئی تھی

نیا تھا درد کے رشتوں سے ناطہ

نئی کونپل تھی آب و گل نئی تھی

کنارے موج سے ملتے رہے تھے

مگر اب مستیٔ ساحل نئی تھی

نئے جلوے فروزاں اس قدر تھے

نگاہوں کے لئے مشکل نئی تھی

وفا کی راہ میں ہر دو قدم پر

کہیں دیوار اک حائل نئی تھی

شکستہ پر تھے خوشیوں کے عنادل

دکھوں کے پیر میں پائل نئی تھی

اندھیرے خوف جس سے کھا رہے تھے

تمناؤں کی وہ جھل مل نئی تھی

ki tafsir-e-hadis-e-dil nai thi

sarabon ki sarisht-e-na-rasai
tamanna ke liye manzil nai thi

wo pahle bhi junun se aashna the
ye garmi KHun mein shamil nai thi

naya tha dard ke rishton se nata
nai konpal thi aab-o-gil nai thi

kinare mauj se milte rahe the
magar ab masti-e-sahil nai thi

nae jalwe farozan is qadar the
nigahon ke liye mushkil nai thi

wafa ki rah mein har do qadam par
kahin diwar ek hael nai thi

shikasta par the KHushiyon ke anadil
dukhon ke pair mein pael nai thi

andhere KHauf jis se kha rahe the
tamannaon ki wo jhil-mil nai thi
