اچھا ہوا نجات ملی کیا برا ہوا

راہ عدم کی منزل اول میں کیا ہوا

جو آیا خاک ڈال کے مجھ پر ہوا ہوا

نشتر کو ڈوبنے نہ دیا اے رگ جنوں

کیا اس کا ایک قطرۂ خوں میں بھلا ہوا

جس دل کے داغ سے ہمیں تھی چشم روشنی

رہتا ہے وہ تو شام ہی سے خود بجھا ہوا

بس ایسی چارہ سازی سے اے شوقؔ باز آئے

جس سے کہ درد اور بھی دل میں سوا ہوا
