پنڈت جواہر ناتھ ساقی

اگر اتنا نہ تو عیار ہوتا

تو دشمن کا نہ ہرگز یار ہوتا

دوئی کا نقش مٹتا دل سے اے کاش

مئے وحدت سے میں سرشار ہوتا

جو ہوتے آج کل قیس اور فرہاد

میں ان کا قافلہ سالار ہوتا

نہ ہوتا گر ترا طالب جہاں میں

تو میں پابند ننگ و عار ہوتا

لگائے چاٹ پر ہیں اس کو دشمن

الٰہی میں بھی کچھ زردار ہوتا

اگر ہوتا مجھے پاس آبرو کا

نہ تیرا عاشق دیدار ہوتا

تڑپتا ہے قفس میں طائر دل

نکل جاتا اگر پر دار ہوتا

تمنا دل کی ساقیؔ جب نکلتی

اگر منہ سے نہ کچھ اظہار ہوتا

پنڈت جواہر ناتھ ساقی
