تماشے چٹکلے تالی میں مت رکھ
ادب کو ایسی بد حالی میں مت رکھ
کہ زہر ہو جائیں گے پکوان سارے
انہیں احساس کی تھالی میں مت رکھ
خیالوں کا پرندہ کہہ رہا ہے
مجھے آکاش دے جالی میں مت رکھ
اداسی خون میں گھل جائے گی پھر
اسے تو چائے کی پیالی میں مت رکھ
بڑکپن پیڑ سکھلاتے ہیں ہم کو
پکے پھل کو کبھی ڈالی میں مت رکھ
کمانے میں بہت کچھ کھو گیا ہے
کسی کو ایسی کنگالی میں مت رکھ

ki zahr ho jaenge pakwan sare
unhen ehsas ki thaali mein mat rakh
KHayalon ka parinda kah raha hai
mujhe aakash de jali mein mat rakh
udasi KHun mein ghul jaegi phir
use tu chae ki pyali mein mat rakh
baDak-pan peD sikhlate hain hum ko
pake phal ko kabhi Dali mein mat rakh
kamane mein bahut kuchh kho gaya hai
kisi ko aisi kangali mein mat rakh
