پرتپال سنگھ بیتاب

راستوں راستوں بھٹکتا ہوں

جانے کس کی تلاش کرتا ہوں

ہار جاتا ہوں شام ہونے تک

اپنے سائے سے روز لڑتا ہوں

زندگی دیکھ میں تری خاطر

روز کس کس طرح سے مرتا ہوں

میری ہجرت ہی میری فطرت ہے

روز بستا ہوں روز اجڑتا ہوں

صبح دم سب ادھرنے لگتے ہیں

خواب جو رات رات بنتا ہوں

واہمے پالتا ہوں میں بیتابؔ

اور پرچھائیوں سے لڑتا ہوں
