دن کی بے درد تھکن چہرے پہ لے کر مت جا

بام و در جاگ رہے ہوں گے ابھی گھر مت جا

میرے پرکھوں کی وراثت کا بھرم رہنے دے

تو حویلی کو کھلا دیکھ کے اندر مت جا

بوند بھر درد سنبھلتا نہیں کم ظرفوں سے

رکھ کے تو اپنی ہتھیلی پہ سمندر مت جا

پھوٹنے دے مری پلکوں سے ذرا اور لہو

اے مری نیند ابھی چھوڑ کے بستر مت جا

کچھ تو رہنے دے ابھی ترک وفا کی خاطر

تجھ کو جانا ہے تو جا ہاتھ جھٹک کر مت جا

اور کچھ دیر یہ مشق نگہ ناز سہی

سامنے بیٹھ ابھی پھینک کے خنجر مت جا

دھوپ کیا ہے تجھے اندازہ نہیں ہے قیصرؔ

آبلے پاؤں میں پڑ جائیں گے باہر مت جا
