وصف سورج ہے روشنی کیا ہے
تو اگر ہے تو زندگی کیا ہے
خود سے تیری ہی گفتگو ہے میاں
ذکر تیرا ہے شاعری کیا ہے
کون جانے کہ یہ مری دنیا
میرے بارے میں سوچتی کیا ہے
تیرا آنا ہے اور جانا ہے
گفتگو کیا ہے خامشی کیا ہے
خواب میں بھی اسے نہ چھو پائے
ہم سے پوچھو کہ بے بسی کیا ہے
اس کے لہجے سے سر نکلتے ہیں
ساز کیا ہے یہ بانسری کیا ہے

KHud se teri hi guftugu hai miyan
zikr tera hai shairi kya hai
kaun jaane ki ye meri duniya
mere bare mein sochti kya hai
tera aana hai aur jaana hai
guftugu kya hai KHamushi kya hai
KHwab mein bhi use na chhu pae
hum se puchho ki bebasi kya hai
us ke lahje se sar nikalte hain
saz kya hai ye bansuri kya hai
