یہی فقط میری زندگی ہے
تری اطاعت ہی بندگی ہے
وہ آج سیر چمن کو آئے
گلوں کے چہروں پہ تازگی ہے
یہ ان کی ذرہ نوازیاں ہیں
جو دل کی بستی میں تیرگی ہے
جو میں نے پوچھا وفا کا مطلب
وہ ہنس کے بولے دوانگی ہے
یہ ان کا دست کرم ہے مجھ پر
جو بات اب تک بنی ہوئی ہے
یہ زخم دل کی دوا ہے یاروں
صباؔ کی جو شعر و شاعری ہے

wo aaj sair-e-chaman ko aae
gulon ke chehron pe tazgi hai
ye un ki zarra-nawaziyan hain
jo dil ki basti mein tirgi hai
jo main ne puchha wafa ka matlab
wo hans ke bole diwangi hai
ye un ka dast-e-karam hai mujh par
jo baat ab tak bani hui hai
ye zaKHm-e-dil ki dawa hai yaron
'saba' ki jo sher-o-shaeri hai
