وہ ملا ہم کو دو گھڑی کے لیے
چاند کو دیکھتے تو سب ہیں مگر
چاند ہوتا نہیں سبھی کے لیے
غم کو اب غم نہیں سمجھتا ہے
اتنا ترسا ہے دل خوشی کے لیے
ان چراغوں میں روشنی ہے بہت
دل جلاؤ نہ دل لگی کے لیے
غم کے دریا کو پار کر لینا
کتنا مشکل ہے آدمی کے لیے
موت کے ڈر سے لوگ زندہ ہیں
کوئی جیتا نہیں کسی کے لیے

gham ke dariya ko par kar lena
kitna mushkil hai aadmi ke liye
maut ke Dar se log zinda hain
koi jita nahin kisi ke liye
