وہ چیر کے آکاش زمیں پر اتر آیا

جلتا ہوا سورج مری آنکھوں میں در آیا

لہروں نے کئی بار مرے در پہ دی دستک

پھر ساتھ مجھے لینے سمندر ادھر آیا

وہ زیست کے اس پار کی تھاہ لینے گیا تھا

پر لوٹ کے اب تک نہ مرا ہم سفر آیا

فرصت ہو تو یہ جسم بھی مٹی میں دبا دو

لو پھر میں زماں اور مکاں سے ادھر آیا

jalta hua suraj meri aankhon mein dar aaya

lahron ne kai bar mere dar pe di dastak
phir sath mujhe lene samundar idhar aaya

wo zist ke us par ki thah lene gaya tha
par lauT ke ab tak na mera ham-safar aaya

fursat ho to ye jism bhi miTTi mein daba do
lo phir main zaman aur makan se idhar aaya
