اس کنج ملاقات میں جو وقت گزارا

اپنے لیے تجویز کی شمشیر برہنہ

اور اس کے لیے شاخ سے اک پھول اتارا

کچھ سیکھ لو لفظوں کو برتنے کا سلیقہ

اس شغل میں گزرا ہے بہت وقت ہمارا

لب کھولے پری زاد نے آہستہ سے ثروتؔ

جوں گفتگو کرتا ہے ستارے سے ستارا
