شہناز نبی

میں نے کچھ بولنے کی کوشش کی تو

مجھے اک کٹہرا فراہم کر دیا گیا

میں گواہ ہوں

لیکن چشم دید نہیں

مقدس کتاب پر ہاتھ رکھ کر قسم کھاؤ

جو بھی کہوں گی سچ کہوں گی

سچ کے سوا کچھ بھی نہیں

میں نے قسم کھائی

اور گواہی دی

میری ہلاکت چشم دید نہ تھی

سو قاتل آج بھی گھومتا ہے آزادانہ

مگر میں قید ہوں

جھوٹی گواہی کے الزام میں

اب بھی

main ne kuchh bolne ki koshish ki to
mujhe ek kaTahra faraham kar diya gaya
main gawah hun
lekin chashm-did nahin
muqaddas kitab par hath rakh kar qasam khao
jo bhi kahungi sach kahungi
sach ke siwa kuchh bhi nahin
main ne qasam khai
aur gawahi di
meri halakat chashm-did na thi
so qatil aaj bhi ghumta hai aazadana
magar main qaid hun
jhuTi gawahi ke ilzam mein
ab bhi
