تیرے سوا بھی کوئی مجھے یاد آنے والا تھا

میں ورنہ یوں ہجر سے کب گھبرانے والا تھا

جان بوجھ کر سمجھ کر میں نے بھلا دیا

ہر وہ قصہ جو دل کو بہلانے والا تھا

مجھ کو ندامت بس اس پر ہے لوگ بہت خوش ہیں

اس لمحے کو کھو کر جو پچھتانے والا تھا

یہ تو خیر ہوئی دریا نے رخ تبدیل کیا

میرا شہر بھی اس کی زد میں آنے والا تھا

اک اک کر کے سب رستے کتنے سنسان ہوئے

یاد آیا میں لمبے سفر پر جانے والا تھا
