چلو ہمی سہی ساری برائیوں کا سبب

مگر تجھے بھی ذرا سا نبھانا چاہئے تھا

اگر نصیب میں تاریکیاں ہی لکھی تھیں

تو پھر چراغ ہوا میں جلانا چاہئے تھا

محبتوں کو چھپاتے ہو بزدلوں کی طرح

یہ اشتہار گلی میں لگانا چاہئے تھا

جہاں اصول خطا میں شمار ہوتے ہوں

وہاں وقار نہیں سر بچانا چاہئے تھا

لگا کے بیٹھ گئے دل کو روگ چاہت کا

یہ عمر وہ تھی کہ کھانا کمانا چاہئے تھا
