ایک آہٹ پہ دل بنا پتا
شمامہ افق
ایک آہٹ پہ دل بنا پتا
ٹوٹ کر شاخ سے گرا پتا
وہ اگر ہارتا تو رو دیتا
میں نے تبدیل کر دیا پتا
مجھ کو تو نے شجر مزاج کیا
اب مری شاخ پر اگا پتا
زندگی ہے خزاں میں سوکھا پیڑ
اور دعا اس پہ پھوٹتا پتا
ڈھیر بھی اک وجود رکھتا ہے
ہو جو پتے کا آسرا پتا
میں نے پوچھا مزاج کیسے ہیں
بس شجر نے گرا دیا پتا
شاخ لہرا کے وار دیتی تھی
پینگ پر ہر دفعہ نیا پتا

wo agar haarta to ro deta
main ne tabdil kar diya patta
mujh ko tu ne shajar-mizaj kiya
ab meri shaKH par uga patta
zindagi hai KHizan mein sukha peD
aur dua us pe phuTta pata
Dher bhi ek wajud rakhta hai
ho jo patte ka aasra patta
main ne puchha mizaj kaise hain
bas shajar ne gira diya patta
shaKH lahra ke war deti thi
peng par har dafa naya patta
