رکھے چراغ طاق پر سارے بجھے ہوئے

رکھے چراغ طاق پر سارے بجھے ہوئے
پھر بھی ہوا کے ساتھ مرے معرکے ہوئے
پہلے پہل تو اس سے فقط گفتگو ہوئی
اور پھر تعلقات بھی اچھے بھلے ہوئے
اک دن ہماری لو نے چراغوں کو مات دی
لگتے ہیں آپ ٹھیک اسی دن سے جلے ہوئے
اس نے کہا تھا آج وہ آئے گا لازماً
مرجھا گئے ہیں پھول گلی تک بچھے ہوئے

pahle-pahal to us se faqat guftugu hui
aur phir talluqat bhi achchhe bhale hue
ek din hamari lau ne charaghon ko mat di
lagte hain aap Thik usi din se jale hue
us ne kaha tha aaj wo aaega laziman
murjha gae hain phul gali tak bichhe hue
