یہ کتابوں سی جو ہتھیلی ہے

سوپنل تیواری

یہ کتابوں سی جو ہتھیلی ہے

سب سے مشکل یہی پہیلی ہے

میری ہم عمر ہے یہ تنہائی

ساتھ بچپن سے میرے کھیلی ہے

ہنستی رہتی ہے ایک کھڑکی پر

اپنی دیوار میں اکیلی ہے

کھل رہی ہے یہ بات ہم پر بھی

زندگی اک کٹھن پہیلی ہے

ایک روزن سے چھن کے آ تو گئی

گھر میں لیکن کرن اکیلی ہے

نرم و نازک سی خوبصورت سی

زندگی پیار کی ہتھیلی ہے

شکریہ ان سبھی کو کہ آتشؔ

آنچ جس نے بھی تیری جھیلی ہے

ye kitabon si jo hatheli hai
sab se mushkil yahi paheli hai

meri hum umr hai ye tanhai
sath bachpan se mere kheli hai

hansti rahti hai ek khiDki par
apni diwar mein akeli hai

khul rahi hai ye baat hum par bhi
zindagi ek kaThin paheli hai

ek rauzan se chhan ke aa to gai
ghar mein lekin kiran akeli hai

narm-o-nazuk si KHub-surat si
zindagi pyar ki hatheli hai

shukriya un sabhi ko ki 'atish'
aanch jis ne bhi teri jheli hai
