زیست آسان ہو گئی ہوگی

زندگی بے وفا ازل سے ہے

دشمن جان ہو گئی ہوگی

آج وہ یار بن گئے گہرے

جان پہچان ہو گئی ہوگی

اس سے جب عرض حال تم نے کی

سن کے حیران ہو گئی ہوگی

گفتگو کر رہے تھے بے موقع

بات بے جان ہو گئی ہوگی

زیست فانیؔ خوشی کی چاہت میں

غم کا عنوان ہو گئی ہوگی
