روز اس کو منانا پڑتا ہے
یعنی خود کو گرانا پڑتا ہے
بات وہ بے تکی سی کرتی ہے
اور مجھے مسکرانا پڑتا ہے
گو کہ ہم ساتھ ہیں مگر اپنے
درمیاں اک زمانہ پڑتا ہے
میری جاں لوگ چھوڑ جاتے ہیں
میری جاں دل لگانا پڑتا ہے
رات رو کر گزار لیتے ہیں
صبح پھر مسکرانا پڑتا ہے
