یہی اپنا تفاوت تو کبھی نیا ڈباتا ہے

زباں پر کچھ تو دل میں کچھ کبھی نہ یہ تفاوت ہو

زباں اور دل جو آہنگ ہو تو یہ رفعت دلاتا ہے

رہے ثابت قدم جو بھی تو مشکل بھی تو ہو آساں

کہ ہو جائے اندھیرا تو ستارا جگمگاتا ہے

کسی کا بھی زیاں نہ ہو یہی تو ہم نے سیکھا ہے

کسی کا ہو زیاں تو چوٹ نہ دل سہ ہی پاتا ہے

یہ اپنی زندگی تو اس چراغِ راہ جیسی ہو

کہ خود کو وہ جلاکر راہ اوروں کو دکھاتا ہے

یہ اربابِ ستم سے اثر کی بس یہ گزارش ہے

کبھی وہ ڈھیل دے کر تو ٹھکانے بھی لگاتا ہے
