مسلمانوں کو یہ حُکم تھا کہ بھائی بھائی بن کر رہیں

مگر یہ کون کَہہ گیا کہ ایک دوسرے کے گلے پڑیں

عرصہ دراز سے اس مکان میں رہائش کی طلب تھی

بے وقوف یہ دلِ بیگانہ ہے چل یہاں سے چل پڑیں

آنکھ نے تصدیق کی ہےاور دل کو بھی منا لیا گیا ہے آج

یہ مسلمان انجانِ ایماں ہے کیوں ہم اس کی راہ پڑیں

سورج کی کرنوں سے روشنی نہ لے نا دیکھ سہارہ اس کا

جو دل کو جلایا ہے عشق سے اسی کی روشنی کرتے چلیں

نہیں ہو تم تو خوش ہوں جو تم ہو تو غمزدہ رہتا ہوں میں

تُجھ میں شفا ہی نہیں تو کیوں تم پر ہم مرتے چلیں؟

مسلمان دوست ہیں مسلمانوں کہ مگر اے دنیا دارو

دوست میں چُھپا دشمن نکلے تو پھر ہم بھی آخر کیا کریں

امیر حق بتا ،حق جتا ،نہ ڈر دہشتِ زمانہ سے اب تُو

سب ملے گا تجھے چاہے لوگ کانٹے بھی کھڑے کریں
