ہیں شعر تِرے شُستہ لب و لہجہ حسِیں ہے

ہیں شعر تِرے شُستہ لب و لہجہ حسِیں ہے

پر کیا ہے کہ یہ مُردہ پرستوں کی زمِیں ہے

اے سہمی کسک تُو نے مِرا ساتھ دیا ہے

ہمدرد مِری تُو ہے، تُو ہی دِل کی مکِیں ہے

جو چرب زُباں اُس کو پذِیرائی مِلی ہے

اور اصل جو فنکار ہے وہ گوشہ نشِیں ہے

محسُوس کِیا اُس کے رویّے میں تغیُّر

تب سے ہے فلک پاؤں میں، اور سر پہ زمِیں ہے

تھی کھوج مُجھے تُم سا کوئی ہو گا میسّر

واللہ نہِیں کوئی، نہِیں کوئی نہِیں ہے

جِس روز سے وہ تابعِ فرمان ہُوا ہے

لگتا ہے پری زاد کوئی زیرِ نگِیں ہے

حسرتؔ ہے اگر پیاس تو بھاشن بھی سُنا کر

تُو اور کہِیں دھیان تِرا اور کہِیں ہے
