تمہارے لوٹ کے آنے سے مجھ پہ کھلتا ہے

ہمارے بیچ جو باقی ہے وہ بھروسہ ہے

مسافتوں کی تھکن ہے مگر خوشی بھی ہے

طویل صحرا ہے پھر اس کے بعد دریا ہے

میں اس کو دیکھتی ہوں مسکرانے لگتی ہوں

وہ خشک پھول ہے اور ڈائری میں رکھا ہے

سمندروں کے زیادہ قریب مت جانا

ذرا سا دور سے دیکھو تو اچھا لگتا ہے

کئی پرندوں کو آزاد کر چکا ہے وہ

جو حبس جانتا ہے اور گھٹن سمجھتا ہے

کبھی ملیں بھی نہیں اور ہمیشہ ساتھ رہیں

مجھے لگا یوں فقط میرے ساتھ ہوتا ہے

کڑکتی دھوپ میں چھاؤں کہیں نہیں لیکن

تمہارا تذکرہ ایسے میں کوئی کرتا ہے
