بلاتی رہ گئی دُنیا مگر گیا تو نہیں

بلاتی رہ گئی دُنیا مگر گیا تو نہیں

بچھڑ کے تُجھ سے کسی کا بھی میں ہوا تو نہیں

بہت دنوں سے طبیعت ملول ہے تیری

کہیں یہ عشق کا وہ مرض لا دوا تو نہیں

یہ کون دل میں, سدا چینکھتا ہی رہتا ہے

کہیں یہ عاشقِ ناکام کی صدا تو نہیں

خیال, ہجر میں ایسے بھی مجھ پے گزرے ہیں

وصال یار کہیں عشق کی, فنا تو نہیں

نہ دل کو خاک ابھی جان نظر ثانی کر

کے راکھ میں کوئی شولا دبا ہوا تو نہیں

میں اتنا ہجر سے مانوس ہوں کے لگتا ہے

جو وصل یار کا طالب ہو بے وفا تو نہیں

ملیں گے مجنو و فرہاد ہر گلی میں مگر

دیوانہ مجھ سا جہاں میں کوئی ہوا تو نہیں

مزا بھی لمس کا آنکھوں سے ہی کیا محسوس

کہ میں نے خواب میں بھی یار کو چُھوا تو نہیں

تمہارے دل پہ جو لکھا ہے نام "ساحل" کا

مٹانا تم نے بھی چاہا مگر مٹا تو نہیں
