یوں تو لہو زخم سے رستا نہیں گیا

لیکن یہ درد ہے کہ گھٹتا نہیں گیا

چلنے سے بھی ختم نا یہ راستہ ہوا

رکا بھی تو سفر یہ بڑھتا نہیں گیا

کس قدر ہمیں تھی سورج کی آرزو

نکل چکا تو پھر وہ دیکھا نہیں گیا

وہ خوف چھا گیا ہے دل و دماغ پر

کچھ سوچنے لگا تو سوچا نہیں گیا

میں تو دکھا رہا تھا، تجھی کو آئینہ

یہ بات ہے الگ کہ دیکھا نہیں گیا

خزاں نے لوٹ لی یوں شجر کی آبرو

پتا تھا ایک وہ بھی روکا نہیں گیا

یاروں کی بزم ہویا غیروں کی محفلیں

میں کس جگہ پےیوسف بیچا نہیں گیا
