ہاں اگر کوئی کہے کتنا پڑا یہ اور ہیں

اس سے کہنا ٹھیک سے بڑھنا پڑا یہ اور ہیں

پوچھتے ہو ان میں تم تفریق آخر کیا ہوئی

راہ رو ملتے رہے ملنا پڑا یہ اور ہیں

گھاٹے کا سودا ہوا ہم عشق کرنے چل پڑے

اور نقصاں لینے دو لینا پڑا یہ اور ہیں

میری ٹھہراؤ نہ تم ہر دور میں کوتاہیاں

خامشی کہتی رہی رہنا پڑا یہ اور ہیں

ہم تو تھے پاگل مگر تجھ سا جہاں میں ہے نہیں

اس لیے زندہ رہے مرنا پڑا یہ اور ہیں

پھر کہیں بہلول وہ مل جائے تو کہنا اسے

قلب میں رہنا ہے ہاں کہنا پڑا یہ اور ہیں
