بڑی اداس ہیں شامیں ترے وصال کے بعد

کہ زخم پھر سے ابھر آئے اندمال کے بعد

تمہاری بات ہی تسلیم کی بہر صورت

زمانے بھر کے دماغوں نے قیل و قال کے بعد

کہاں ہوں کون ہوں کیسا ہوں میں کہاں کا ہوں

کوئی خیال نہ آیا ترے خیال کے بعد

ہوئی نصیب نہ عزت حیات میں جس کو

سجا ہوا تھا وہی گھر میں انتقال کے بعد

بھلا سکے گی نہ سورج کی داستان زمین

گیا ہے خیمۂ شب میں وہ کس کمال کے بعد

خموشیوں کی زبانیں ہیں سرخ آنکھوں میں

عجیب طرز تکلم ہے اک سوال کے بعد
