خود سے میں بے یقیں ہوا ہی نہیں
آسماں تھا زمیں ہوا ہی نہیں
عشق کہتے ہیں سب جسے ہم سے
وہ گناہ حسیں ہوا ہی نہیں
وصل بھی اس کا اس کے جیسا تھا
جو گماں سے یقیں ہوا ہی نہیں
خانۂ دل سرا کی صورت ہے
کوئی اس میں مکیں ہوا ہی نہیں
لاکھ چاہا مگر سخن میرا
قابل آفریں ہوا ہی نہیں
میں بھی خود کو سنوارتا محسنؔ
آئنہ نکتہ چیں ہوا ہی نہیں

lakh chaha magar suKHan mera
qabil-e-afrin hua hi nahin
main bhi KHud ko sanwarta 'mohsin'
aaina nukta-chin hua hi nahin
