mere ashaar mein alfaz ke jauhar dekho
band hai fikr ke kuze mein samundar dekho

har taraf jalwa-fagan nur ka manzar dekho
dekhne walo mere qalb ke andar dekho

dasht-e-zulmat se ujalon ka tajassus le kar
dosto aao ba-sad-shauq mera ghar dekho

sang-e-dushnam uThate ho uThao lekin
apne kirdar ki tahrir to paDh kar dekho

mauj-dar-mauj abhi aks bikhar jaega
jhil ke chehre pe tum phenk ke patthar dekho

subh ki pahli kiran jhank gai rauzan se
band kamre se nikal kar zara bahar dekho

ru-ba-ru chehre ki tausif-pasandi se pare
KHud ko kirdar ke aaine mein 'nashtar' dekho
