چاک دل بھی کبھی سلتے ہوں گے

لوگ بچھڑے ہوئے ملتے ہوں گے

روز و شب کے انہی ویرانوں میں

خواب کے پھول تو کھلتے ہوں گے

ناز پرور وہ تبسم سے کہیں

سلسلے درد کے ملتے ہوں گے

ہم بھی خوشبو ہیں صبا سے کہیو

ہم نفس روز نہ ملتے ہوں گے

صبح زنداں میں بھی ہوتی ہوگی

پھول مقتل میں بھی کھلتے ہوں گے

اجنبی شہر کی گلیوں میں اداؔ

دل کہاں لوگ ہی ملتے ہوں گے
