کہ ہم تو ویسے ہیں اس کے اشارے جیسے ہیں

یہ وصل، وصل کی مد میں غلط شمار کیا

کہ اس کے ساتھ بھی یونہی کنارے جیسے ہیں

طلسم چشم سلامت رہے کہ جس کے سبب

کہیں ہیں پھول کہیں ہم ستارے جیسے ہیں

وہ جانتا ہے جبھی دور بھاگتا ہے بہت

وہ جانتا ہے ہم اس کو خسارے جیسے ہیں

ہم آج ہنستے ہوئے کچھ الگ دکھائی دیے

بہ وقت گریہ ہم ایسے تھے، سارے جیسے ہیں

اسے کہو کہ ستارے شمار تو نہ کرے

کہو قدم دھرے، چھوڑے اتارے جیسے ہیں

یہ غم کے پھول ہیں یا شعر دیکھیے اور بس

ہمیں پتہ ہے کہ ہم نے نکھارے جیسے ہیں
