کریں زنجیر زنی دل کے عزا خانے میں

کیا ہوئے لوگ پرانے جنہیں دیکھا بھی نہیں

اے زمانے ہمیں تاخیر ہوئی آنے میں

ان شکستہ در و دیوار کی صورت ہم بھی

بہت آسیب زدہ ہوں گے نظر آنے میں

اپنے آبائی مکانوں سے پلٹتے ہوئے ہم

کتنے نازاں ہیں کوئی دن رہے ویرانے میں

ہم تو کچھ اور طرح ہوتے تھے برباد عطاؔ

اب تو کچھ اور سے حالات ہیں مے خانے میں
