عین رشید

ہزاروں سال سے اس کی بجھی آنکھیں

پر نم ہیں

اس مرتعش پیکر کے لیے

جس کا عکس

جھیل کے شیتل جل کی لہروں میں

مرتعش ہے

چمن میں کوئی دیدہ ور پیدا ہو یا نہ ہو

بھلا اس سے اس کا کیا لینا دینا

اور فضا میں صرف ڈیڑھ جملے گونج رہے ہیں

غبار عشق میں تنہا اٹھا کے لایا ہوں

اور بازگشت تنہا اٹھا کے لایا ہوں

لایا ہوں لایا ہوں

hazaron sal se us ki bujhi aankhen
pur-nam hain
us murtaish paikar ke liye
jis ka aks
jhil ke shital jal ki lahron mein
murtaish hai
chaman mein koi dida-war paida ho ya na ho
bhala us se us ka kya lena dena
aur faza mein sirf DeDh jumle gunj rahe hain
ghubar-e-ishq main tanha uTha ke laya hun
aur bazgasht tanha uTha ke laya hun
