زمان ہجر مٹے دور وصل یار آئے

الٰہی اب تو خزاں جائے اور بہار آئے

ستم ظریفیٔ فطرت یہ کیا معمہ ہے

کہ جس کلی کو بھی سونگھوں میں بوئے یار آئے

چمن کی ہر کلی آمادۂ تبسم ہے

بہار بن کے مری جان نو بہار آئے

ہیں تشنہ کام ہم ان بادلوں سے پوچھے کوئی

کہاں بہار کی پریوں کے تخت اتار آئے

ترے خیال کی بے تابیاں معاذ اللہ

کہ ایک بار بھلائیں تو لاکھ بار آئے

وہ آئیں یوں مرے آغوش عشق میں اخترؔ

کہ جیسے آنکھوں میں اک خواب بے قرار آئے
