دائم تو فلک نزدیک نہیں رہتا

تو اب تو ہاتھ بڑھاتا ہے

اور تارے توڑتا جاتا ہے

جب دور مگر اک دن یہ فلک ہو جائے گا

تب کیا اس کو سمجھائے گا

یہ بھی تو ممکن ہے لیکن

اس وقت دریدہ خود اس کا بھی دامن ہو

اور وہ خود بھی یہ جانتی ہو

کہ آخر وہ دن آتا ہے

جب دور فلک ہو جاتا ہے

to ab tu hath baDhata hai
aur tare toDta jata hai
jab dur magar ek din ye falak ho jaega
tab kya is ko samjhaega
ye bhi to mumkin hai lekin
is waqt darida KHud us ka bhi daman ho
aur wo KHud bhi ye jaanti ho
ki aaKHir wo din aata hai
jab dur falak ho jata hai
