برس بیت گئے تجھے بچھڑے ہوئے
کب سے خواب بھی تجھ سے روٹھے ہوئے
مگر آج بھی جب کبھی،
گھر میں تیرا تذکرہ ہوتا ہے
آنگن میں اک گہری خاموشی چھا جاتی ہے
ہر سانس گویا کہ تھم سی جاتی ہے
مگر پھر اماں کا اک دھیما سا قہقہہ،
فضا میں کھونجتا ہے
یوں کہ تجھے بھولنے کی سازش کی جاتی ہے
اور پھر ادھر ادھر کی باتیں شروع ہو جاتی ہیں
جن کی اوٹ میں ہر شخص اپنے آنسو چھپاتا ہے
اور پھر تیری طرح،
تیری یاد پر بھی کفن چڑھا دیا جاتا ہے
یہ عمل جانے دن میں کتنی بار کیا جاتا ہے
مگر ہر بار کیوں تو پہلے سے بھی زیادہ یاد آتا ہے
