عزیز لکھنوی

میرے رونے پہ یہ ہنسی کیسی

اے ستم گر یہ دل لگی کیسی

کھل گئی پھر کوئی رگ دل کیا

دیدۂ خشک ہیں نمی کیسی

ہوش ہے تجھ کو خاک کے پتلے

یہ تمرد یہ سرکشی کیسی

تھا یہ اک امتحاں طبیعت کا

ورنہ ناصح سے دوستی کیسی

رو رہا ہوں اسی تصور میں

دی تھی یہ مجھ کو زندگی کیسی

اب تو اس در تک آ گئے ہو عزیزؔ

سنبھلو سنبھلو یہ بے خودی کیسی

ai sitamgar ye dil-lagi kaisi

khul gai phir koi rag-e-dil kya
dida-e-KHushk hain nami kaisi

hosh hai tujh ko KHak ke putle
ye tamarrud ye sar-kashi kaisi

tha ye ek imtihan tabiat ka
warna naseh se dosti kaisi

ro raha hun isi tasawwur mein
di thi ye mujh ko zindagi kaisi

ab to is dar tak aa gae ho 'aziz'
sambhlo sambhlo ye be-KHudi kaisi
