ہر قدم ہم نے عاشقی کی ہے

ہم نے دل میں سجا لیے گلشن

جب بہاروں نے بے رخی کی ہے

زہر سے دھو لیے ہیں ہونٹ اپنے

لطف ساقی نے جب کمی کی ہے

تیرے کوچے میں بادشاہی کی

جب سے نکلے گداگری کی ہے

بس وہی سرخ رو ہوا جس نے

بحر خوں میں شناوری کی ہے

جو گزرتے تھے داغؔ پر صدمے

اب وہی کیفیت سبھی کی ہے
