دوست کیا خود کو بھی پرسش کی اجازت نہیں دی

دل کو خوں ہونے دیا آنکھ کو زحمت نہیں دی

ہم بھی اس سلسلۂ عشق میں بیعت ہیں جسے

ہجر نے دکھ نہ دیا وصل نے راحت نہیں دی

ہم بھی اک شام بہت الجھے ہوئے تھے خود میں

ایک شام اس کو بھی حالات نے مہلت نہیں دی

عاجزی بخشی گئی تمکنت فقر کے ساتھ

دینے والے نے ہمیں کون سی دولت نہیں دی

بے وفا دوست کبھی لوٹ کے آئے تو انہیں

ہم نے اظہار ندامت کی اذیت نہیں دی

دل کبھی خواب کے پیچھے کبھی دنیا کی طرف

ایک نے اجر دیا ایک نے اجرت نہیں دی
