اک طبیعت ہے کہ آزار ہنر کھینچتی ہے

ایک جانب لیے جاتی ہے قناعت مجھ کو

ایک جانب ہوس لقمۂ تر کھینچتی ہے

ہجر کا عیش کہاں ہے مری قسمت میں کہ اب

زندگی رنج بہ انداز دگر کھینچتی ہے

ایک منزل ہے جو امکان سے باہر ہے کہیں

اک مسافت ہے کہ بس گرد سفر کھینچتی ہے

اک طرف دل کا یہ اصرار کہ خلوت خلوت

اک طرف خواہش تسکین نظر کھینچتی ہے
