آنے والی کل کی دے کر خبر گیا یہ دن بھی

ماہ وصال کی شریانوں میں اتر گیا یہ دن بھی

لمحہ لمحہ ساعت ساعت پل پل میں تقسیم ہوا

ریزہ ریزہ ہوتے ہوتے بکھر گیا یہ دن بھی

اس کی تابانی پر کتنے ہی سورج قربان ہوئے

اپنے ہونے کا دکھ سہہ کر مگر گیا یہ دن بھی

سرد ہوا کا جھونکا تھا جو سناٹو کو چیر گیا

کتنے دلوں پر دستک دے کر گزر گیا یہ دن بھی

ہم تو اپنی نیندوں میں خوابوں کو جگا کر خوار ہوئے

موج سراب میں ڈھل کر جانے کدھر گیا یہ دن بھی
