مصروف ہم بھی انجمن آرائیوں میں تھے

گھر جل رہا تھا لوگ تماشائیوں میں تھے

کتنی جراحتیں پس احساس درد تھیں

کتنے ہی زخم روح کی گہرائیوں میں تھے

کچھ خواب تھے جو ایک سے منظر کا عکس تھے!

کچھ شعبدے بھی اس کی مسیحائیوں میں تھے

تپتی زمیں پہ اڑتے بگولوں کا رقص تھا

سات آسمان قہر کی پروائیوں میں تھے

اس طرح خیر و شر میں کبھی رن پڑا نہ تھا

کتنے ہی حادثے مری پسپائیوں میں تھے

خلقت پہ سادگی کا میں الزام کیا دھروں

جتنے شگاف تھے مری دانائیوں میں تھے

آشوب ذات سے نکل آیا تھا اک جہاں

ہم قید اپنی قافیہ پیمائیوں میں تھے
